Understanding stats

## Understanding your affiliate statistics

Your affiliate dashboard displays several metrics that help you evaluate performance. The most important ones include:

- **Clicks:** The number of times visitors clicked your referral links or banner ads. This shows how attractive your promotional materials are.
- **Click through rate (CTR):** The percentage of impressions that resulted in a click (clicks divided by impressions). CTR measures interest in your promotion.
- **Conversion rate (CR):** The percentage of visitors who completed a desired action (such as purchasing a product) after clicking your link. A typical affiliate conversion rate is around 1–3 %. CR measures results rather than interest.

### How to view your stats

1. Log in to your IllusionCloud client account and go to **Affiliates → Statistics**.
2. Use the date range filters to view metrics for a specific period. The dashboard displays total clicks, conversions, commission earned and pending commissions.
3. Click on any row to see details of individual referrals, including the order ID, amount earned and status (pending or approved).

### Improving your performance

Improving your stats requires more than just increasing clicks. Focus on the complete funnel:

- **Analyse drop off points:** Study where potential customers leave the funnel. If many visitors click but do not convert, review your landing page, pricing or product presentation. Identifying and fixing these drop‟off points can boost conversions.
- **Improve page speed:** More than half of mobile users abandon a site that takes more than three seconds to load. Optimising images, using caching and choosing fast hosting can reduce load times and improve both CTR and CR.
- **Targeted traffic:** Sending targeted traffic from audiences interested in game hosting or server infrastructure usually yields higher conversion rates than generic mass traffic. Tailor your messages to speak to these niches.
- **Test different creatives:** Experiment with different headlines, images, copy and banner sizes to see what resonates best. Use your stats dashboard to compare results.
- **Monitor conversion rate:** Track your conversion rate alongside CTR to ensure that increased traffic translates into actual purchases. A high CTR with a low conversion rate means you may need to refine your landing page or offer.
- **Review and refine:** Continuously test and refine your campaigns. Use the data available in your stats dashboard to identify areas for improvement and iterate on what works.
