Required disclosures

### Required disclosures for affiliates
Transparency builds trust with your audience and keeps IllusionCloud compliant with advertising laws. Whenever you share an affiliate link or talk about an IllusionCloud product, you **must disclose your affiliate relationship**.

#### When to disclose
- Disclose if you receive any financial benefit or other value (free or discounted services, perks) for mentioning a product or service. This includes any personal, employment or family relationship with IllusionCloud or its brands.
- Don’t assume your followers know about your relationship; always disclose, even if you believe your review is unbiased.

#### How to disclose
- **Make it clear and conspicuous** – Your disclosure should be placed where people will easily see and understand it. The FTC advises placing the disclosure with the endorsement message itself, not hidden on an About page or in a profile.
- **Language matters** – Use simple statements such as “This post contains affiliate links. If you purchase through them, I may earn a commission” or “Thanks to IllusionCloud for sponsoring this server.” Terms like “ad”, “advertisement”, “sponsored” or “IllusionCloud partner” are acceptable. Avoid vague abbreviations like “sp”, “spon”, or “collab” and don’t bury the disclosure in a long string of hashtags or links.
- For images or videos, superimpose the disclosure over the content and ensure it remains visible long enough to read. In live streams, repeat the disclosure periodically. The disclosure should be in the same language as your endorsement.
- Don’t mix the disclosure into the middle of a long string of hashtags or hide it in a separate page; make sure it is clear to your audience.

#### Best practices
- Place the disclosure at the beginning of your post or caption or viewable close to any endorsements before your audience clicks any links.
