How tracking works
llusionCloud uses a comprehensive tracking system to credit affiliates for the traffic and sales they generate. Here’s how it works:
- Unique referral URLs – When you join the program, you receive a special affiliate link containing your unique identifier. Use this link in your promotions (articles, banners, social posts) so that any visitor who clicks it can be associated with your account.
- Cookies & attribution – When someone clicks your link, a cookie is stored in their browser. If they sign up or purchase a service within the cookie window, the sale is attributed to you. The affiliate portal shows the cookie duration and other details.
- Real‑time analytics – The affiliate dashboard displays metrics such as clicks, sign‑ups and conversions. You can monitor which marketing channels perform best and adjust your strategy accordingly.
- Recurring tracking – For subscription‑based services, tracking doesn’t stop after the first purchase. As long as the customer remains subscribed and the cookie or account association remains valid, you continue receiving recurring commissions.
- Cross‑device linking – If a user clicks your link on one device and completes the purchase on another (while logged into the same account), the system attributes the sale to you. However, cookie‑based tracking may not work across all browsers, so encourage users to sign up or purchase soon after clicking.
