How ordering works

## Steps to order a dedicated server

Ordering a dedicated server is straightforward. Here's how the process typically works:

1. **Choose your server and configuration**: Browse the available Budget, Gaming or Enterprise server lines in the client area or contact sales. Select CPU, RAM, storage (HDD, SSD or NVMe), RAID and bandwidth options. You can also choose add-ons such as control panels, backup plans and additional IP addresses.
2. **Select a location**: Pick your desired data-centre location based on proximity to your users (e.g., Europe, North America). Choosing a closer location reduces latency.
3. **Choose the operating system**: Select a Linux distribution (Ubuntu, Debian, AlmaLinux, etc.), Windows Server edition or a custom ISO. You may also opt for managed or unmanaged OS installation with a control panel.
4. **Add extras and services**: Configure remote management features (IPMI/KVM), private networking, DDoS protection tiers, and any other optional services.
5. **Review your order and create account**: Confirm your configuration, billing cycle and recurring price. If you're a new customer, you'll need to create an account and provide billing details and contact information.
6. **Complete payment**: Enter payment details (credit card, PayPal or other accepted methods). Your order will not proceed until payment is processed successfully.
7. **Order verification**: The billing team may perform an anti-fraud check or request additional documents (e.g., ID or proof of address) for security reasons. Respond promptly to any requests to avoid delays.
8. **Provisioning**: Once verified, your server enters the provisioning queue. See the **Provisioning timeline** page for details on hardware allocation, OS installation and delivery.
9. **Receive your credentials**: When the server is ready, you'll receive an email and/or client area notification with login credentials, IP addresses and instructions for first login.

### Tips for a smooth ordering experience

- Double-check that your contact details and billing address match your payment method to reduce the chance of anti-fraud flags.
- If you need a custom build or have specific requirements (e.g., additional disks, special RAID cards, GPUs), contact sales before ordering to confirm availability and lead time.
- Consider ordering during business hours if you need immediate follow-up; orders placed overnight may be processed the next business day.
