“I ordered but it’s still Pending”
## “I ordered but it’s still pending”
After placing an order for a VPS, you may notice that the status remains **“Pending”** in your client area. This doesn’t always mean something is wrong; it often indicates that your order is waiting for payment confirmation or manual review. Use the checklist below to understand common reasons and next steps.
### Common reasons orders remain pending
- **Payment confirmation is pending** – Card payments, PayPal or bank transfers may take several minutes or hours to clear. If payment isn’t completed, the order won’t be provisioned.
- **Fraud or compliance review** – For security reasons, some orders are flagged for manual review, especially if the billing address or IP differs from your account country. IllusionCloud may request additional documentation to verify your identity.
- **Out of stock or allocation** – Occasionally specific plans or locations may temporarily sell out. Provisioning will occur once capacity becomes available or you choose another plan/location.
- **Incorrect contact information** – If your email address bounces or phone number is invalid, the order may be held until updated.
### What to do
1. **Check your email** – Look for order confirmation and invoice emails. Ensure you have paid any outstanding invoices. Payment confirmation emails may take a few minutes to arrive; also check your spam/junk folder.
2. **Verify payment status** – Log in to your client area and check the invoice associated with the order. If it is unpaid, complete the payment. If paid but still pending, wait a short time for confirmation.
3. **Respond to any verification requests** – If IllusionCloud requires identity verification or additional information (such as a government‑issued ID or utility bill), submit the requested documents via the secure portal or ticket system as soon as possible.
4. **Select a different location/plan** – If the chosen datacenter location is out of stock, you may have the option to provision the service in another region or choose a different plan size. Contact support if you need guidance.
5. **Open a support ticket** – If your order has been pending for longer than the typical provisioning window (e.g., more than a few hours for LXC plans), submit a ticket with your order number. Provide details such as payment method used, date/time of order and any confirmation numbers.
### Summary
Pending orders are usually due to payment processing, fraud checks or capacity constraints. Review your payment status and respond to any verification requests promptly. If the order remains pending beyond the normal provisioning time, open a ticket with IllusionCloud’s billing or sales team so they can investigate and complete your deployment.
