# Where to find server details in WHMCS

After ordering a VPS or dedicated server, IllusionCloud sends a welcome email containing your server’s IP address, login credentials and other important details. If you misplace the email, you can retrieve the same information from the client area.

## Steps to locate your server information

1. **Log in to the WHMCS Client Area** using your customer account credentials.
2. From the top menu choose **ServicesServices** \u2192then **My Services**. You’You'll see a list of all active products.
3. **Open the relevant service** by clicking its name. The product details page includes a section labelled **Service Information** or **Server Details**.
4. In this section you’ll find key data such as the **Dedicated IP address**, **Username** and **Password** for the associated server【569817983465919†L2728-L2743】. Copy these values for use when connecting via SSH or RDP.
5. If you need to reference the original welcome email, go to **Client Area** \u2192then **My Emails** and open the **New Account Information** message.

## Tips for secure handling

- **Keep credentials confidential** – never share your server’s username or password in support tickets or email.
- **Change default passwords** during your first login and store the new password securely.
- **Update contact details** in WHMCS so that future notifications and password reset links reach you.
